As the school year begins, it's crucial for both our staff and students to be prepared for any emergencies. Today, we conducted two important security drills. The first drill involved securing the building by ensuring that all classroom and exterior doors were closed and locked, with no students in the hallways or restrooms. This procedure is used when there is a potential threat near our school. The second drill featured a loud siren, signaling staff and students to follow the established protocol in case an intruder enters the building. We also practiced a fire evacuation drill, where students and staff excelled in quickly and safely exiting the building. Later in September, we will conduct a storm drill. While we hope these measures are never needed, it's essential that everyone knows exactly what to do in case of an emergency!
